Giving back

​​At Untamed Floral we believe in giving back and paying forward. Whenever possible, we donate excess botanicals to local hospitals, elder care facilities and other community groups. We are also deeply committed to making a positive impact not just through our sustainable floral creations, but by supporting worthy causes. With each purchase, you not only brighten your world but also contribute to meaningful change in the lives of others. Together, we help foster a stronger, more compassionate community.

 

Untamed Floral is committed to donating 10% of net proceeds to the nonprofit organization, Guide Dogs of America. Why GDA? As a civil rights attorney, Katie worked to advance the rights of people with disabilities. ​

While representing them, two of Katie’s blind clients received fully trained guide dogs. Katie learned firsthand how dramatically the dogs improved her clients’ lives. They became trusted companions, enabling their owners safely to navigate their physical surroundings with greater confidence and newfound independence. It was amazing! Wanting to help provide similar life-changing opportunities to others, Katie’s family became “puppy raisers.” Working with GDA they raised Atticus for 18 months (shown here on his first and last days as a guide dog trainee), teaching him basic obedience and specialized skills he’d need to participate in formal guide dog training.

Unfortunately, Atticus did not make the final cut, was “career changed” and is now a beloved member of Katie’s family. It was bittersweet, but Katie plans to work again with GDA to raise pups in the hope the dogs will be given to blind and visually impaired people to provide them increased mobility, independence and companionship.
